COLLECTING ELECTRODES
Collecting Plate Electrodes are the main internal component of the precipitator, considering volume and weight.
  
POLITEKNIK produces Collecting Electrodes made of cold rolled continuous steel sections stiffened by suitable profiles combining mechanical and electrical field efficiencies. 
  
The electrodes can be fabricated up to 15 m. single piece plates.


 

 

The material of productions in general are St 12.03 ,ERDEMİR 1110, ERDEMİR 1112. For higher temperature applications Corten, and for high corrosion rates stainless steel AISI 304, AISI 316 quality materials are used.
   
POLITEKNIK produces its own profiles as well as profiles in accordance or modifications of electrodes of firms such as LURGI, ELEX, BELCO, HUMBOLDT, PEABODY, WALTHER ,VKW etc.
   
POLITEKNIK profiles provide an optimum combination of electrical field efficiency avoiding sharp edges, good current density distribution over the plate surface as well as good mechanical properties of rigidity and vibration response.
   
During fabrication, strict tolerance controls are maintained regarding :
  
a-) Camber tolerance
  
b-) Bow tolerance
  
c-) Twist tolerance
  
d-) Local waviness tolerance
  
e-) General dimensional tolerances
   
   

     TOLERANCES of COLLECTING ELECTRODES

 
By random sampling quality control, one at about each 20 electrodes is suspended at our Test Tower specially erected for tolerance control on the electrode, simulating the precipitator suspension conditions.
  
Since 1979, POLITEKNIK have been serving up to about 40.000 Collecting Electrodes of various profiles to more than 45 plants.
